In the beginning, God designed, created, and fashioned all things well. The Lord was the first Architect, Designer, and Project Manager. After the fall, the Father became the first Clothier, Rescuer, Legislator, and Judge.
For all creation he is Provider.
To his people, he is a Potter, forming us, and a Shepherd, protecting us.
In his youth, Jesus worked with his hands, so that he blesses all who work with their hands. In his redemptive mission, he was a teacher and a healer, so that he blesses all who teach and all who heal.
Jesus holds great offices.
As prophet, he taught with authority (Matt. 7:28; 8:8–9).
As king, he ruled over disease, death, even nature itself (Luke 8:22–56).
As priest, he suffered for our sins (Mark 15:19–24; Col. 1:22).
In all this, except his atoning death and resurrection, he left us an example, that we might live faithfully in him and for him, in all that we do (1 Peter 2:22-24).
