We hear we will never have enough
Our hands seem empty
We exhaust ourselves with endless tasks
Our hands seem overwhelmed
Taking care of ourselves and our loved ones is sacred work
Our hands seem too fragile for the task

And yet, our hands have been graced with Your strength and Your presence
Our hands are ready and anxious to receive
Help us live with open hands, not tight fists
Our hands are equipped and willing to serve

Breathe Life when we are weary and worn
So we may dance with grateful joy
Speak wisdom when we feel lost and alone
So our feet may walk with direction and calling
Make room within us for generosity and gratitude
So we may overflow with love and open hands
