You, O God, never slumber or sleep. You don’t tire.
Your weariness never turns your face away from us for even a moment.

But we need sleep. We need rest.
It’s hard for us to fully love you when we are tired.
We easily lose our ability to focus when we haven’t gotten enough sleep.

So, O God who never wearies, we bring you our weariness this morning.
We have been called to lead in worship today, but our eyelids are heavy.
We want to help your people worship you today, but our weariness clouds our minds.

Please give us all the clarity we need to worship you in ways that honor you.
Please strengthen us so that we may fulfill our role of helping your gathered people to worship
you in spirit and truth.
For Jesus’ sake, Amen.
